Decor

So I had this vision of creating windows in my room. Then I figured i'd put "people" out there of stories we read. Here's gilgamesh. I think it looks kinda lame. Design is soooo not my talent. This took me a few hours too! There are three windows total. I did a close up of two. The pictures came from a kid's website about mesopatamia.

What a great idea!!! When I go back to Bellevue I would love to use the same idea! No windows in our 1970s designed-school. Is it all done with fabric?

the blue is fabric, then i heat bonded the brown ribbon to make frames. the green is butcher paper (what i was going to make the whole thing out of originally, but my school has 0 butcher paper - just green, gray, black, and white) and the figures are printed on my color hp officejet.
i'm glad you're impressed and hoping you are sincere. but can you help with ideas? how do i fill the tops of the windows - or do i? what about in between windows - labels? what about pieces we read with no easily found pictures online? these are my worries.

whoa! this looks way better than I was picturing! it looks good. I think you are just too close to the project. maybe kids can draw up pictures of the characters to put in there.

you may be right plewe. i did think that i'd either get a ta to come up with pictures or have kids do it for extra credit/citizenship.

thanks guys.

I agree. This looks really good.

Plewe and I are on the same wavelength--have the kids fill in the blanks! It could be for extra credit, or you could have them do it on a day when you need an extra 15-20 minutes to just breathe...

thanks for this.

Have you heard the TMBG song about the Mesopatamians? You probably should heard it.
