This is the beauty of price matching. 30 avocados for 6 dollars. Can't wait for my garden tomatoes to be grown and i can pull these out of the freezer to make guac. 

Living art

The coolest thing i saw at the grand opening were these "statues". When i went to the rest room i saw a couple women on there with metallic paint all over their faces. Only later did i see this gold colored woman with flowers subtley moving. I think she was a hiya with everyone. I only wish i had seen them change. Besides this one with roses there was one with sunflowers. I never did see if there was one at another spot in the complex. 

City creek grand opening

I have the best back row seat of the house. I got to see the prophet and his counselors. So far it is all very exciting. Later i get to wander the block helping people work the new parking meters. 

Home Grown Green Onions

Look i am growing green onions in my window sill. I saw this idea on pinterest and i am thrilled to say it is working! All you do is put the leftover white part in a jar of water and it grows more green parts. Supposedly i can cut off green parts as they grow and As i need them and they will regrow. 

Lemon pie

There are few things I enjoy baking as much as lemon meringue pie. And my favorite part is when it first comes right out of the oven and the meringue is tall, full, golden brown and just lovely. Can't wait to celebrate Christmas Eve with my family.

First christmas present of the year!

Hooray for me!  The gifts started coming early this year. My mom made this Halloween quilt in time to decorate her place.  all I did was admire it and ask for it and next thing I knew she gave it to me. :) I have a talented and generous mother. Wish you could see it better. It's amazing!

Tday fun

I got to help niece and nephew decorate a gingerbread house. They couldn't stop eating the candy and frosting. Notice the gnawed on men in front.

Yes, that's my "christmas tree" and I'm happy to say all my decorations are up. It feels great!

Bret and I joined the yw for games tonight. Here's bret trying to toss a water bottle and make it stand on end. No one won that round. We had lots of fun.

80's Rock Band Party

The young women had a party tonight playing guitar hero. We got to dress up 80's style. I decided to resurrect my tina turner costume from 2 halloweens ago. Loved it!

I got my couches back today. They are beautiful if you ask me but I think they clash painfully with the rug. Also I have enough fabric leftover to do 2 wing back chairs (if I can find some and if I have a place to put them) or another sofa. Suggestions?

Forget-me-nots

i REALLY should post more often.  i've been busy with school.  hooray for more school in my life!  i got my first math test back - 102% thank you.  :)  but i'm not posting to brag right now.  in fact, what i want to post has nothing to do with school - that's just my excuse for not posting much.
