Here we wait for othello to begin. Pretty good seats. Long show. Great acting. Iago was amazing. I went in and out of conciousness a lot - pretty normal for me at a shakespeare play but I read and analyzed this one plenty back in january so it didn't hinder my understanding much.

I loved Othello, and I'm in love with James Newcomb (Iago) even more than last year, when he played Coriolanus. The actor who played Othello was fantastic, too, and I believed the relationship (infatuous though it was) between Desdemona & Othello better than in any other production I've seen.
Did you see any other plays while you were there?
you're right - the desdemona/othello connection worked! i haven't seen any other productions, though, to compare it to. and no, i saw no other plays. i'm a cheap wad. the friends saw "taming of the shrew" and "cyrano de bergerac."
